Hi Stampers we had some fun over the weekend here, mostly getting projects finished up including a few cards that have been “in process”, and here is the first one using another stamp set I have had for awhile and had to knock the dust off and mount – sure hope it stays in the new catalog, LOL…it’s called ZOO REVIEW from STAMPIN UP of course, and it has 5 great animals in it, all of which would make great guy cards – YES, I’m carrying on with my Masculine Theme this week – with one little interruption. I also shared a project at the end of the post that Oscar and Lucy helped us with – yep, we got our “paws” dirty again, haha….
Ok, here is my first card, it’s flat, it’s 10 minutes or less (if you emboss quickly), and I love it….mostly because I love this little Zebra,
LOL…As you can see, we Black Embossed him on a 4 x 4 piece of Rich Razzleberry, then mounted him onto a card base of Basic black 4-1/4 x 11. Before I did that, I White Embossed the sentiment which is from SASSY SALUTATIONS. Then we used the TASTEFUL TRIM BIGZ XL DIE from Stampin up to create the black and white borders. What a blast, I have a pile more ideas for this stamp set, so hurry up and order it so you can play along with me, LOL….
Then, I took my WHITE GEL PEN and added his stripes in….cool right!….

and on to one of our last week projects, my second favorite way to get dirty – actual DIRT. Yep, we were outside gardening again
Remember last year we ripped apart the right side of our yard putting in a retaining wall, new fence and the cement pad for Ian’s new man cave…..there was a strip of garden along our driveway, and I grew zucchini there last year. (that sent the neighbors running, ha-ha) Well, now the vegi garden is in the back yard, so, I decided to create a dry creek bed garden here…it’s actually not dry, because the drain from the roof drains here, so when it’s raining (hello – I live in Portland so that’s almost daily), we have our very own creek. and as you can see, It’s Lucy approved.
I did a selection of grasses and greenery and filled it in with Montana Rainbow Rock – and my all time favorite –
Iris, love these little guys!…
Oscar also gave us his approval – although he did enjoy pulling the weeds for me, LOL…he is good little gardener.
and the big two tier garden we finished last year is showing it’s spring colors – love this time of year.
Ok, that’s it for me today, I’m working on video this morning, and have another “guy card” for you tomorrow – and some very cool pictures of a journal I spent saturday working on with my artsy buddy Marita….boy, did we get our fingers sticky, LOL…
Until then!
